Kristen worked and trained as a veterinary technician for 14 years and has experience in emergency medicine, surgery, oncology and routine veterinary care. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and fulfilled pre-veterinary course requirements. She then chose to attend graduate school to study acupuncture and practiced on animals and people in the State of Colorado. She returned to Maryland in 2003 and completed the State requirements to be a Certified Animal Acupuncturist. She is a life-long animal lover and currently shares her world with four extraordinary dogs, four amazing cats, an adopted horse and her incredibly supportive husband, Mark.
She is licensed in Maryland to treat dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, ferrets, domestic birds .... and humans!
