Kristen Cady, MS, LAc

My Background:

My path to becoming a licensed acupuncturist evolved from my love of animals as well as my interest in natural healing and medicine. I worked and trained as a veterinary technician for 14 years with experience in emergency medicine, surgery, oncology and routine veterinary care. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Later, I chose to attend graduate school at Bastyr University to study acupuncture. Following graduation in 2001, I started practices for both human and animal acupuncture in the state of Colorado. In 2003, I moved back to my home state of Maryland and completed the requirements to become a Certified Animal Acupuncturist in that state. I maintained two wonderfully fulfilling practices until my love of the Great Northwest finally drew me back to Seattle, where I am starting anew with my human practice.

I currently share my world with my husband and our three dogs, four cats and adopted horse. I still travel frequently to Maryland to visit friends and family and maintain my animal acupuncture practice.
